In August 2025, a craving for Karwari Khaja, a traditional snack from my hometown, sparked an unexpected idea.
Working in the corporate world in Bengaluru, I wondered why the flavours we grow up loving are often so hard to find when we move away from home.
The more I thought about it, the more I realised that Karwari Khaja was just the beginning. Across India's coastline, countless little food treasures — traditional snacks, pickles, papads, laddoos, halwas and regional cashews — carry memories, traditions and the taste of home.
And so, Coastal Caravan was born.
Our mission is to discover these coastal gems and bring them to doorsteps across India — reconnecting people with familiar flavours and inviting others to discover something wonderfully new.
